Circular notched ring style carved from Pink Ivory. This wood is very hard and dense, carving and finishing like an ivory. Like ivory, we must be very careful when carving and turning this wood, because it will singe and burn very easily. Our tools have to be razor sharp to get good results. Although used frequently for jewelry for stretched piercings, this wood is quite rare and comes with a premium price tag, especially for the more intense, deep pink colors. In our studios, we use a medium to high grade Pink Ivory for rings for a deep, rich pink color.
Onetribe's standard ring, it is a compact style, chunky in large sizes. Each ring is carved individually and finished on both sides for optimum cut, quality, and finish. Particularly in the larger sizes, the turning and hand finishing of a set of rings can take most of the day and requires from our studio carvers an intense attention to detail, patience, and skill. No pair of rings will ship unless it meets our very high standards. We may contact you individually if we have a question about a particular cut or color of a block of wood. Some blocks of wood have interesting variations or unique patterning hidden within it that are totally one of a kind and unexpected.
