Circular notched ring style with a larger outside diameter carved from black and white "Tiger" Ebony. Tiger Ebony is a rare wood from South East Asia which exhibits very unique grain patterning: yellow to off-white coloring with subtle to overwhelming streaks of black, from which it receives the "tiger" name. The finish is smooth and the look is unmistakably unique, however, the wood is incredibly tricky to work and requires much patience on our part. During or after turning and finishing, we may contact you directly to notify you of any delays regarding your order; some rings may need to age for a few days before shipping.
While we carve our wood for a well-balanced display of black and blond striping, each and every piece will be different. This wood varies quite dramatically from block of wood to block of wood. The "Large Ring" style has a larger overall diameter than our standard ring style. Each ring is carved individually and finished on both sides for optimum cut, quality, and finish. Particularly in the larger sizes, the turning and hand finishing of a set of rings can take most of the day and requires from our studio carvers an intense attention to detail, patience, and skill. No pair of rings will ship unless it meets our very high standards. We may contact you individually if we have a question about a particular cut or color of a block of wood. Some blocks of wood have interesting variations or unique patterning hidden within it that are totally one of a kind and unexpected.

Ring Opening is between 4-5mm. If you need a larger opening to accommodate a thicker lobe, please let us know so that we can modify your jewelry before it ships. Returns for modifications to opening size will be an additional cost + shipping.
