Old growth California Redwood Burl wood was selected to compliment the deep blue tones of the rare Guatemalan variety of jade that we call "Sapphire Blue." This particular jade is best suited for a fine silver hollow-backed bezel setting.

The hollow bezel is a hardware setting which allows light to pass through the back of the plug and through the cabochon inlay. This setting takes a considerable amount of time and material and is one which we generally only use for the best stones. The Sapphire Jade is a fine example of how the introduction of light can completely change the look and feel of a set of plugs--the jade comes alive in color!

Wearing surface is our standard 12mm with 1.5mm flares.
